Experienced Corporate Director Brings Extensive Expertise to the Company

Toronto, August 6, 2024 -- Sherritt International Corporation (TSX: S) ("Sherritt" or the "Company") today announced that Shelley Brown has been appointed to the Company's Board of Directors.

Ms. Brown brings over 30 years of board experience to Sherritt, having served on the boards of Stantec Incorporated and SNC-Lavalin Group Inc., among others. She has extensive experience in corporate governance, risk management, and strategy development.

Ms. Brown's appointment is the latest in a series of recent changes to Sherritt's Board of Directors. In March 2024, the Company appointed Tony Makuch to the Board and announced that David Pathe had been appointed as Chair.
