Nationals Outfielder Victor Robles Leaves Game Early Sunday

Robles Exits Game with Apparent Hamstring Injury

Washington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles left Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins in the second inning with an apparent hamstring injury.

Robles was running to first base on a ground ball when he appeared to pull up and grab the back of his right leg. He was immediately removed from the game and replaced by Yadiel Hernandez.

The Nationals have not yet released an official diagnosis, but Robles is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

Robles has been one of the Nationals' most consistent players this season, batting .282 with six home runs and 24 RBIs in 63 games.

If Robles is forced to miss extended time, it would be a major blow to the Nationals, who are already without star shortstop Trea Turner, who is on the injured list with a broken finger.

The Nationals are scheduled to play the Marlins again on Monday and Tuesday before opening a series against the New York Mets on Wednesday.
